Abstract
This IDC study presents the Moroccan IT services industry in 2008 and forecasts expenditures on IT services through 2013. The study contains market size, vendor market shares, and forecasts for 13 foundation market categories. The study ranks the top IT services providers in Morocco by their 2008 revenues and includes detailed profiles of IT services portfolios for the top 10, their presence in individual vertical markets, and their largest contracts. The top services providers for each of IDC's foundation market categories are also provided. The study answers the following questions: "Although many Moroccan IT services projects have been put on hold due to financing concerns, the overall sector is expected to grow over the forecast period. IDC expects to see both specialization and consolidation among local providers in the face of intensifying competition from international players. Growing demand is expected in the finance, public sector, discrete manufacturing, real estate, and hospitality industries. The SMB segment will also be encouraged to invest in IT services through public subsidies. The Moroccan government's ambitious Industrial Emergence Plan and its 2013 Digital Morocco strategy are expected to have both direct and indirect effects on IT services spending." – IDC North Africa Regional Manager Ilias Hamdouch
