He is based in Prague and currently works as a program manager for the telecommunications group in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMA). In his role at IDC, he has also been responsible for designing end-user surveys and developing quantitative forecast models for broadband and corporate data communications services.
Budd has been quoted frequently in the media and has presented at a number of high-profile industry seminars and conferences.
Prior to joining IDC, Budd spent two years as a site manager and editor for a Prague-based Internet media company, which published news and business information on emerging markets in Central Europe, Russia, and China. He also worked as a journalist in Prague, covering industry, finance, and macroeconomic developments in the Czech Republic.
